Using CPS and ODBC and Access Application...

Holy Transfiguration Monastery is an Orthodox monastic community that began in Haverhill, Massachusetts in the winter of 1960. They are men dedicated to a life of prayer and devotions. Their days are spent working on cooking, translating, sewing, working at a handicraft such as producing icons and incense, filling mail orders, maintaining the grounds, prayer and so forth.

They support themselves with orders for their icons and incense which are sold to churches and individuals around the world. These orders are entered into an Access database application. Holy Transfiguration Monastery uses CPS to ship their packages. An order number is entered in CPS, which then uses ODBC technology and CPS Connections to read the shipping information directly from their Access database application. Shipping labels are printed and placed on the packages. This saves the monastery time, limits data entry errors and allows them to transmit their shipping data online to UPS^®.
